That question is infamous in my SEO career, I (Susie) will explain that at a later date, but it’s a story well worth the read.

Define your market, are you a niche website, blog or forum? You need to define your keywords, typing in those right words will get you everywhere. Where do you begin, figure out what it is you are selling, and do your keyword research on you competition first, find out what they are going after.

Are you looking to market a single service or product? Are you looking to define your product in a global market or more of a demographic area? Typing the right keyword for your search is something that will bring you success.

Think in terms of your prospective clients, are they searching for specifics or are they searching in generics? SEO is not a well a precise science, typing the right word is not an easy science. I suggest that you search and view many websites that are similar. Find out what type of keywords, page titles and content they are using.

All it takes to land on top are correct domain names, keywords-short and long tailed keywords, proof positive content and build reliability for your followers.
